I was pretty much out of CCGs by maybe 1998, although I have a few more recent offerings such as Spycraft, Conan, and City of Heroes (at least, I think those are a little more recent).įast forward to today, I have several plastic cases full of cards for games such as Magic (4th Edition), Doomtrooper, Wildstorms, Rage, On The Edge, Legend of the Five Rings, Netrunner, Battletech, Overpower, Doomtown, Star Wars, and many others I'm forgetting offhand. ![]() I played a bunch of them, bought starter decks for many but never went further than that, and was left wondering about others. ![]() It was an exciting time, with this entirely new gaming platform exploding onto the scene. I didn't get into collectible card games from the very beginning, but I was front and center for the big CCG craze beginning around 1995. ![]()
